About the SLT
The P.S. 18X School Leadership Team (SLT) is a collaborative team of parents, teachers, and administrators. Our mission is to ensure that each student graduates on a pathway to a rewarding career and long-term economic security. We develop educational policies and ensure that resources are aligned to implement the Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP).
Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP)
Our strategic goals for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
Priority 1: Literacy
All students learn to read well. We are targeting a 10% increase in proficiency for all students and specific growth for ELLs through targeted interventions and explicit vocabulary instruction.
Priority 2: Wellness
All students are physically and emotionally safe. We aim to decrease chronic absenteeism by 3% and increase student reports of belonging and safety through SEL workshops and community events.
Priority 3: Inclusion
High-quality inclusive learning for Students with Disabilities. Strengthening IEP implementation and ensuring student voice is present in learning plans (Target: 70% increase in student voice in IEPs).
